When Víkingur Ólafsson touches his keyboard, he puts the face of the American composer Philip Glass in front of us. That is the level of closeness of both artists' interpretation of the music world, introducing the listener to the most prominent heights of 20th century piano music, suited to the period.
Mr Ólafsson graduated from the prestigious Julliard School in New York, and after finishing his studies, he continued working as a soloist with excellent musicians – from the Swedish clarinettist Martin Fröst to Björk. His records have been released under reputable labels such as “Harmonia Mundi” and “Deutsche Gramophon”.
