THE WORLD IN AN AMBER / CENTRAL AFRICA

Cameroonian-born Roland Tchakounté will bring a special musical experience to the Latvian audience with his unique vocal performance and fascinating phonetic sound combined with blues melodies.

Already in his early years, Tchakounté began immersing himself in the music of the most talented Afro-Americans, and his own songs are filled with the sorrowful sensations he felt as a refugee. His creative biography includes 6 solo albums and countless concerts around the world, including performances at such spectacular venues as London’s Jazz Café, Paris’ New Morning, as well as the festivals Blues Sur Seine and Chicago Blues Festival. 

Concert-goers are kindly invited to arrive at 19.00, when a duo from the band Ainavisti will give their warm-up performance in the lobby of the concert hall.
