The soloist, Charenée Wade, embodies the key values needed to be a jazz performer. She started her career attending jazz master classes and participating in vocal competitions, then her determination and talent allowed her to put herself on a pedestal of the prestigious Thelonious Monk’s and Jazzmobile vocal competitions, showing her talent to well-awarded judges — Patti Austin, Kurt Elling, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Dianee Reeves.

The vocalist has rocked the jazz, soul, and R&B world with her free, smart, and creative singing. Her vocal improvisation skills in jazz, swing, and many other music genres are unbelievable. Charenée's classic sound of jazz reminds one of Betty Carter and Sarah Vaughan — jazz divas who inspired the choice of career of the new artist. Her teachers include the legendary singer, Dianee Reeves, and bassist, Christian McBride.

The soloist's debut album, Love Walked In, was released in 2011, followed by Offering, which was released last year. It was praised by critics as a significant event in jazz music. In a review of this album in the world-wide known internet shop, Amazon, it was said so succinctly: “No play list is complete without this work of art. Music appreciation at its finest.”

At the solo concert in Liepāja, which will be the only one in the Baltic states, the artist will perform with Oscar Perez, pianist, Darell Green, master of percussion, and a bassist Paul Beaudry.
