From July 19 to 25, Liepāja will host the 22nd Baltic Museology School , which will bring together 35 museum professionals from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.
This year’s theme for the school is “The Museum of Tomorrow: Practices, Empowerment, and Care.” At the conclusion of the summer school, on July 24, a “World Café”-style group discussion will take place in the “Pietura” open lounge of the “Lielais Dzintars” concert hall from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. “From Questions to Next Steps,” in which participants will reflect on the issues discussed during the week and explore ways to apply the insights gained to their professional practice.
