The music series "Processions" sharply, brightly and directly reveals the magic of modern Icelandic music in the world of classical music. The music lines drawn by the composer and conductor Daníel Bjarnason are quick and aggressive in a way, thus showing the unrest, insecurity and chaos created during the world economic crisis in a demonstrative manner.
The extraordinary depth of the concert is created by blending various music genres, including jazz and electronic, into a single composition. It will be revealed by the pianist Víkingur Ólafsson and clarinet player Arngunnur Árnadóttir together with the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the excellent conductor Daníel Bjarnason.
