On Imants Kalniņš’ 77th birthday his well-known songs, beloved by all generations, theatre music, songs from cartoons and movies, less known opuses, as well as fragments from the oratorio "The poet and a mermaid" will be played. Within the composer's wonderful melodies, entwined with amazing poetry, many generations of our nation have nursed their love for music and patriotic senses; therefore, both old and young listeners are more than welcome to enjoy the concert.
