Evilena Protektore is a popular Latvian jazz singer. In 2016, she received the Nic Gotham Award for her contribution to jazz music in Latvia. Protektore is known in Latvia from the bands Pieneņu vīns and Jazzatomy. She has participated in several festivals: Pori Jazz (Finland), Limassol Jazz (Cyprus), Live in Blue Bay (Ukraine), and competitions: Riga Jazz Stage (Latvia) and Nomme Jazz (Estonia). She won the Grand Prix at the Jazz Voices 2014 competition in Lithuania.
