The Liepāja Theatre festival “Theatre in Close-Up” was established in 2025 and and is envisioned as an annual international event. Its programme features theatre productions from the Baltic Sea region, alongside discussions, presentations, play readings, and other activities, some of which are free of charge. The festival aims to introduce audiences to theatre-making processes while offering professionals and enthusiasts space to reflect on artistic practices and challenges. This year, it will take place from August 20 to 23, presenting performances from Finland, Sweden, Lithuania, and Estonia, as well as one production by Liepāja Theatre.

Inclusive dance performance for children with visual impairment or other disability "Unseen World" invites children audience to become active participants and together with dancers explore and perceive dance without verbal instructions.

About theatre: Dansema Dance Theatre since it was established in 2007 by award winning Lithuanian choreographer Birutė Banevičiūtė is still a leader in dance performances for young audiences in Lithuania. The company has travelled over 35 countries around the world performing, bringing innovative ideas, giving seminars for professionals, children and teachers.
