14. DECEMBER 19.00

2015

In Christmas time, only so much true joy can be found as much there is in the joyous eyes and faces of children./Kārlis Skalbe/

Inspired by this thought, we invite you to fill your hearts with kindness and love and hear the bells of Christmas time ring within.

Sarma Freiberga, the Chairperson of Foundation Come Along!, explains:

On 14th December at 7 p.m. at the Concert Hall Great Amber, we would like to give you a wonderful gift - one of the most emotional and exhilarating concerts Come Along in Christmas!

The concert is a collaboration between the best Latvian artists and the laureates of the Integrative Arts Festival Come Along! 2015 - talented children and youth with special needs. The talented participants are visiting Liepāja from different places in Latvia - Valmiera, Zālīte, Malta, Kuldīga, Aizpute, Rīga and Liepāja.

The artists kind-heartedly devote their talent to our children whom they join on the stage. Latvian National Opera soloist Ilona Bagele, opera singer Evita Zālīte, singers Aija Andrejeva and Nikolajs Puzikovs have been with us for several years. But there will also be newcomers who participate in our concert for the first time: Rūta Dūduma, Guntis Veits, Lauris Reiniks, Jānis Ķirsis, pianist from Liepāja Agnese Egliņa and composer and guitar player Aivars Hermanis. We will also hear the Nāc līdzās! Foundation choir of young singers with special needs conducted by Rūdolfs Bērtiņš, and Liepāja State Gymnasium choir conducted by Jēkabs Ozoliņš. The musical director of the concert is composer Uldis Marhilēvičs.

All the funds obtained in the concert will be used by the Foundation to further develop and promote the talents of children with special needs.

An hour before the concert, at the entrance hall of the concert hall, the Nāc līdzās! Christmas charity market will take place. In exchange for a donation, each guest will be able to purchase nice Christmas gifts for themselves or their friends.
