The majestic Western music culture finds its roots in the traditions of the Christian Church. One of the Atlases, who carries the evolution of European music traditions, is Johannes Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). The composer has developed the polyphonic musical language of the baroque era to such an unreachable level that basically concluded this musical era. One hundred years after the death of J.S.Bach, Felix Mendelssohn revived at a time completely forgotten works of the composer, pointing them out the honorable spot in the human cultural heritage chest even up till today. Felix Mendelssohn became one of the first birds of the romanticism music era and created several undeniable masterpieces particularly in the spiritual music. The two great masters meet together again in this Christmas program, dedicated to the magical wonder of Christ’s Birth.
