The end of the year is a time for
celebration, cheerfulness, and the magic of music – and that is exactly what
the Liepāja Symphony New Year’s Eve Concert offers every year. This
traditionally dazzling event closes the year with elegance and sparkling
energy.
This year’s programme will take the audience on a journey from the splendour of bel canto to the majestic dances of Vienna. Johann Strauss’ timeless classics will intertwine with the passion of Italian opera. Well-known melodies will alternate with delightful surprises.
Alongside the Liepāja Symphony
Orchestra, outstanding soloists – both vocalists and instrumentalists – will
take the stage, breathe life into the music with their distinctive
interpretations.
Under the direction of conductor
Guntis Kuzma, the concert promises to be festive, lightly ironic, and
emotionally uplifting. It is an invitation to surrender to music that stirs and
delights – a wonderful farewell to the old year and an inspiring welcome to the
new one.
