The visitors dive into the vibrant world of Great Amber slowly. After viewing the artworks on display, they ascend the wide stairs towards the grand portrait of maestro Imants Resnis, his smile enigmatic and slightly mischievous. The maestro knows - the biggest treasure and the most pleasant surprise lies in the heart of the building - acoustic concert hall on par with those of such cultural metropolises as New York, Beijing, Moscow, Venice, Salzburg, Rome and others, with the acoustics created by professor Karlheinz Müller, one of the best experts of the field in the world. Acoustic tests have been performed for each element of the building and interior. The result is excellent sound coverage and wonderful listening experience whether you are sitting in the stalls or the galleries. Reverberation time is about 2 seconds at mid-frequencies, which can be reduced to 1.5 seconds with the use of acoustic curtains.
