The workshops aim to introduce young people aged 12 to 18 to contemporary performing arts by using the languages of music and circus. Art professionals will have the opportunity to draw inspiration from workshops in order to create an interdisciplinary show combining music and circus, planned for 2024, together with the young participants. Each workshop will begin with an individual meeting in each of the arts disciplines: circus artists will work with movement art students, and musicians will work with students from music schools. Afterwards, the two groups will meet in a joint workshop to exchange ideas and creatively combine their arts. Participants will learn basic techniques in contemporary music, circus, acrobatics, and dance, as well as various ways to express themselves through these art forms in groups and individually. Classes will also heavily focus on the ability to listen, as it is an important part of communication in the arts. The creative workshop will conclude with a small performance where both professionals and workshop participants will unite on stage to share what they have learned and discovered. Parents, siblings, teachers and friends of participants will be invited to the performance. The most important keywords you need to know about the creative workshops – fun, joy of play, and curiosity. Are you ready?
