Is a hearing loop available at the Concert Hall? +

What should be taken into account by visitors with hearing loss when attending concerts? +

  • Before buying your ticket, make sure your hearing aid has a functioning telecoil (‘T-coil’) setting. If this function is not available or does not work, you should contact the seller of the hearing aid.

  • Once you arrive at the concert, you can activate this function:

    • manually, directly on your hearing aid; or

    • on your smartphone via accessibility settings – look for the telecoil (‘T-coil’) function.

  • The concert is available for people with hearing loss, as the hearing loop function will be active during the event. Based on the experience of users of this system, the best listening experience with the hearing loop is in the seats in the center of the main auditorium area: rows 5 to 12, seats 6 to 28.

Can I visit the concert hall with a service dog? +

Yes. The Great Amber Concert Hall warmly welcomes all visitors accompanied by a guide dog or assistance dog.

In accordance with legal regulations in the European Union member states, as well as Article 30.5 of the Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 959 of the Republic of Latvia, service dogs are granted access rights to all places where their handler is allowed to go. This means that service dogs may enter cafés, restaurants, shops, sports and cultural venues, and may travel by taxi, as well as by local and international public transport.

What should be considered when attending events with a service dog? +

To ensure a comfortable concert experience for both the visitor and the service dog, we recommend purchasing specific seats for events in the Great Hall. The most convenient seats, which provide space next to the visitor for a service dog, are located in the parterre Row 17, Seats 1 and 21. Other comfortable options can be found in the parterre between Rows 7 and 11, choosing aisle seats.

When attending events in the Chamber Hall, the most convenient seats for a person with a service dog are those located next to the aisles.

If you would like to familiarize yourself and your service dog with the route inside the concert hall before the event, please contact the Concert Hall Information Centre.

If you need assistance during your visit, feel free to approach our customer service staff.
